It started with a framework.
We started with a question: why is building business software still so painful? Every project, the same boilerplate — auth, permissions, APIs, database migrations. Months of work before you even get to the business logic. So we built Contember — an open-source framework that handles the plumbing.
Companies started asking us to build their apps. We said yes — and discovered the framework made us absurdly fast. Complex CRMs in weeks. Data platforms in a month. Internal tools over a weekend.
Along the way, we kept running into problems worth solving. Website vendor lock-in? We built Nua Site. Outdated site code? We built Redo My Site. New tools, new experiments, new releases.
We're not an agency that takes any project. We're not a SaaS company with one product. We're a team that builds relentlessly. Some weeks we're shipping client apps. Other weeks we're releasing a tool anyone can use. That's the rhythm.
Three principles.
Ship it, then iterate.
Real software beats perfect plans. We put working code in front of users as fast as possible, then improve based on reality — not assumptions. Every project gets a first deploy in weeks, not months.
Build in public.
Our framework is open source. Our tools are public. Our process is transparent. We believe the best way to prove you know what you're doing is to show your work. If we build something useful, we release it.
Stay curious.
If we see a gap, we fill it. That's how Contember started. That's how Nua Site and Redo My Site happened. We're builders by temperament — give us a problem and we'll make a tool for it.
