We are a small team of engineers, designers and product people from Prague and Dublin. We have been building software for over fifteen years. Because it long bothered us how laborious building business applications was, we built our own framework for it. Today it powers everything from small editorial systems to systems that run entire companies, and we have distilled that experience into the tools that Contember Fabrika stands on.
A short history of long work
We are not an agency that takes any project, nor a SaaS with a single product. We are a team that builds things for itself. Every product is a consequence of the previous one.
The framework came before the company
It all started with a question: why is building business software so slow? The answer was Contember, an open-source framework that takes care of the plumbing: authentication, permissions, APIs, database migrations. The things that get rewritten in every project, we wrote once and properly.
Companies asked for applications
Soon companies started asking us to build things on the framework. It turned out that with our own tool we were disproportionately fast: a complex CRM in a few weeks, a data platform in a month, an internal tool over a weekend. That experience taught us what the operations of real companies look like from the inside: manufacturing, logistics, finance and e-commerce.
Our own products
From the same conviction that people should own their software came our products: Nua Site for websites without vendor lock-in and Redo My Site for outdated websites. Products keep us honest: what we sell to clients, we run on ourselves.
Contember Fabrika
We folded everything that came before into one service. Out of all that experience came a new platform, built from the ground up for AI-assisted development. AI made writing software cheaper, but it didn't solve owning and running it; that is exactly where our work is. We build a company's first application in a week, teach their people to build more, and take care of operations for the long run.

Ship first, then improve
The first version goes live in weeks, not months. Software improves the most on real data with real users, not in documents.
Build in public
The framework is open source, our tools are public. Anyone who wants to see how we work can read it in the code. It is harder than promises in a slide deck. That is exactly why we do it.
